1. Overview

This policy explains what data List Bulb collects, how it is used, and how it is protected when you browse the directory or submit a product.

2. What we collect

When you submit a product, we may collect:

• Tool URL and normalized domain
• Tool metadata (name, description, logo URL, OG image URL)
• Category selected during submission
• Tags you optionally select to describe your tool
• Optional Twitter/X handle
• Submitter email address
• Technical anti-abuse signals such as request metadata and rate-limit logs

When you browse listings, we also collect first-party interaction aggregates:

• Website clicks — when you follow an outbound link to a listed product (counted via our redirect endpoint)
• Listing views — when you open a tool detail page (at most once per listing per day per browser, using a short-lived cookie for deduplication)

These counts are stored as daily rollups keyed by listing. We may display exact aggregate totals on listing pages in the future when a listing has enough activity. We do not store your name or email from browsing alone.

We do not currently provide user accounts, login, subscriptions, or payment checkout on this site.

3. How we use data

• Review and moderate tool submissions manually
• Prevent spam and abusive traffic
• Operate and improve the directory
• Contact submitters manually if needed, including via provided Twitter/X handle

4. Submission processing

Submission requests are stored in our database as pending listings. You can verify your badge on the listing page while editorial review is in progress.

A submission is not guaranteed to be approved or listed. Featured placement, if any, is editorial and decided by the reviewer.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with infrastructure and service providers required to operate submission and hosting workflows, or when legally required.

6. Retention and security

Submission and operational records are retained for moderation and service operations. We apply reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised date.
